Al-Ahram Foundation announced the data issued by the Egyptian Compulsory Vehicle Insurance Association for the month of March 2024 in its report on the number of vehicles that were compulsorily insured and licensed “Zero.”
The report revealed that the number of electric vehicles that were insured and licensed in March was 436, including 406 private cars, a number that means they outsell older brands in the Egyptian market that run on gasoline.
Volkswagen achieved 172, the ID4 occupied first place among Volkswagen cars, achieving 45 cars, while BYD recorded 49 cars, while its Song Plus car achieved 16 cars. As for Mercedes, the market received 50 cars out of the total Mercedes cars, while the EQI ranked 350. The number of sales of Mercedes was 19 cars, while BMW achieved sales of 39 cars, including only 18 cars of the iX3 model among its cars, while Tesla achieved 15 cars, and the Nissan X-Trail 11 cars.
